Many Christians graced with a tangible anointing have made it to the lime-light, but sadly, only those who have developed a strong character have remained in the light for a long time. Too many anointed people have appeared for a time, but have suddenly disappeared, simply because they have had no strong character, to under-gird their great manifestation of the anointing. I've known and seen Christians appear on the scene in the last 20 years with a strong anointing and leading powerful ministries, but almost all of them have either closed shop, or are hiding in obscurity, due to the fact that they had failed to build their lives on strong and godly character.
