Doctrine of the Scriptures (Bibliology)
Module 1: Doctrine of the Scriptures (Bibliology) – When starting a personal journey in ministry, it must begin with the understanding of God’s Word. There are ten segments to this module which breaks down various parts of the Bible, its origin, purpose, and history to name a few. This module is a prerequisite module before a student can take any other module.
Goal: The goal of the laity minister is to understand the Doctrine of Scripture principles.
Learning Objectives: Given the information present at the end of this Module the laity minister will be able to:
Identify the biblical name, symbols, and the scriptural references for each.
Explain the various divisions, biblical symbols within the Bible.
Discuss the Bible’s inspiration from the Holy Spirit and Man’s role in the process.
Explain the evolution of the Bible as it pertains to the Bible’s King James Version.
Recognize the inerrancy of the scriptures.
Discussion – Each laity minister will answer the discussion questions which the Pastor will pose to gauge their understanding of the segment. Each discussion response will be 200-350 words summarizing the material for that segment.
Module Paper - Each laity minister will complete a 2-3-page paper after the module explain how the Bible was created and constructs containing all biblical references used within the body of the paper and submitted for grading.
