Doctrine of God (Theology)
Module 2: Doctrine of God (Theology) – Theology is the study of God and the relations between God and the universe, the study of religious doctrines and matters of divinity. There are eight segments to this module which cover the numerous names we have God, His nature, attributes, works, existence, and all aspects of the Trinity. This module is a prerequisite module before a student can take the Doctrine of Angels and the Doctrine of the Holy Spirit modules.
Goal: The goal of the laity minister is to describe the Doctrine of God and who is according to the Scriptures.
Learning Objectives: Given the information present at the end of this Module the laity minister will be able to:
Explain the three categories of theology and the scriptural references for each.
Identify the various names for Gods and the scriptural references for each.
Discuss the knowability, exitance, nature, attributes of God and His works with the scriptural references for each.
Discussion – Each laity minister will answer the discussion questions which the Pastor will pose to gauge their understanding of the segment. Each discussion response will be 200-350 words summarizing the material for that segment.
Module Paper - Each laity minister will complete a 2-3-page paper after the module explain who God is and every aspect of Him from their study containing all biblical references used within the body of the paper and submitted for grading.
